That's why I've always loved the fashion industry. It knows no boundaries and it continues to push boundaries. You see, the fashion world doesn't know any limits and it certainly doesn't care about being "normal". That's something I see everyday. Maybe I'm wrong, but people constantly fear being quirky, being eccentric, being "weird". What's wrong with that? Nothing.
If you showed a "normal" person of Tavi or Susiebubble - currently huge fashion blogger/icons - people would react almost with disgust. "Ew, who is this?" or "What the heck is she wearing?"
Maybe this post should also be titled "a rant", because NOTHING pisses me off when people judge others. DEAR PEOPLE, PLEASE RELAX.
Yes I love fashion and YES THERE IS MORE TO FASHION THAN SHOPPING AT MACY'S or Jessica Simpson's new line - you know what I mean???
Yes I also love learning about women's rights issues and feeling empowered and NOT hating my body even though other people and the world tell me to. What's wrong with that? And what's wrong with not being a total "girl" or being independent and strong? What is wrong with that? Precisely, NOTHING.
There is nothing more wrong than having people pity you because of who you are. Anyone who doesn't fit the current molds of being "normal", raise your hands up. We are just so much more stronger, interesting, and amazing than anyone else. Power to us.
