A Day in the Life: Prose-Style
I can't believe it's already 4pm. Today I woke up at 11am with the intention of doing all things touristy at the National Mall. It started off, well - it was like one of those magical days where you wake up and things like go right. I was completely and utterly productive. Nine hours of sleep. Hair freshly washed from last night, body scrubbed - it was the most fresh feeling ever. Whenever I wash my hair, it always comes out with some volume and this is when I let it down - the most "I just woke up and I'm not trying too hard" look ever. Wearing Urban Outfitters dark plaid dress shirt with Vera Wang walking shoes. No ray bans because they broke, too sad. Anyways, woke up and did laundry. The feeling of fresh, clean clothes - a sigh, an ahhh. Then I figured out exactly how much I've spent (and earned!) in DC so far this summer (if you didn't know, I'm here for an internship currently) and it turned out pretty well - nothing too drastically terrible. Sipped my milk and chocolate grizzled waffles and then started this blog, promptly. A great feeling. The posts don't take terribly long, but the formatting does - I wanted something to reflect my persona, so it took a good time to "declutter" everything. Ate a hearty and healthy lunch: a wheat bagel with strawberry whipped cream cheese, chunky peanut butter and sliced bananas in between. Tortilla chips and strawberry yogurt. The life of a life indeed. Going to watch the moon later tonight - I only have three hours so I think I'll grab my camera and venture out to Georgetown instead - take beautiful pictures, tour the campus, come back in two hours. Yeah. And then head out for the Mall and a day of museum touring - finishing off the day? Dinner in Chinatown.
